CCNC Capacity Building Fund

Since 2005, the CCNC has been able to set aside a small fund for Network Sites to use for Cochrane activities. This fund is now being offered twice a year to Canadian Network Sites, Canadian Cochrane Entities and Affiliate members (in that order).  Our aim is to support special Cochrane projects or initiatives based in Canada relating to training and/or knowledge translation of Cochrane reviews. Funds are a maximum of $3000 per application.

Recipients April 2009

1. Applicant: The Musculoskeletal Review Group in collaboration with two consumers
        Project: To develop a tools to assist consumers in promoting The Cochrane Library
2. Applicant: The Health Equity Field
        Project: To attend an Equity conference to present equity methods 
3. Applicant: Upper Gastrointestinal and Pancreatic Diseases Review Group Satellite
        Project: To attend a workshop to learn the new Cochrane methods to conduct reviews of diagnostic test accuracy (and later teach to others). 
4. Applicant: Canadian Dental Hygienists Association
        Project: A knowledge exchange pilot project to link researchers and dental hygienists

WorkSafe BC

WorkSafeBC is pleased to issue a second Request for Proposals this year for INNOVATION AT WORK grants, in partnership with the Workers' Compensation Boards of Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and Saskatchewan; the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission of Newfoundland and Labrador; and Alberta Employment and Immigration.
These grants, for Canadian residents, are intended to support the development of new knowledge and/or practical problem-solving at the workplace level.
